Coastal Plains Primary Care Offers Routine Childhood Immunizations


Varnville, SC (January 1, 2019) As part of its integral mission of providing comprehensive, quality patient care, Coastal Plains Primary Care is continuing to expand services to meet the needs of all members within a family. Effective January 1, 2019, routine immunizations will be available for administration to established patients from birth to 18 years of age.

Childhood vaccinations are an important step in the prevention of infectious diseases. A vaccine, or immunization, is most effective when given at certain ages at the appropriate dosage. Coastal Plains Primary Care will now administer vaccinations on-site to ensure patients remain on schedule.

Conveniently accessible to the local community and surrounding areas, skilled health care providers at Coastal Plains Primary Care administer vaccines to children aged birth to 18 years old during well-child visits. Such visits are critical to ensure appropriate preventative care, as well as growth and developmental tracking.
